Initial 2nd Opinion

Nina Radford M.D., Director, Cardiovascular Medicine Department, Cooper Clinic advises that Paul Grayburn is a very smart cardiologist and echocardiographer – says that he is a national expert in echocardiography. Dr. Radford thinks we should be pretty confident about the diagnosis, but will look at the echo when it comes in.

Dr. Radford also supports the plan I laid out yesterday, and says that Baylor has a big study going on right now about the genetics of HOCM (Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy) so we are in the right hands at the right place. Yea!

So it's been a good day. CPR training is done. Keith says he can already feel a difference on the Toporol XL, like things are somehow smoothed out.

It started raining since we've been home. What a joy it is to listen to the thunder and hear the rain pouring down on the house, and running onto the deck.... It's making a nice "splatting noise" that we normally hear in Spring storms. According to our modern day oracle (Google) it's 72 degrees. In August. If we're paying attention, the miraculous happens all the time.
