Hip Abductors

Keith and I are trying to get back into some of our regular routines after being completely discombobulated for the past two weeks. We met after work this afternoon and spent a hour at the gym. Friday afternoon/evening is the perfect time to get in a long cardio workout since the place is empty enough that snagging a machine for 60 minutes isn't a challenge.

For some reason, my hips are sore. The picture I took of this squirrel in our backyard earlier this week gives me hip abductor envy. My fingers (okay, and my jaw from all that chewing) are the only parts of my body that are truly limber. Thinking Pilates might be the answer, I've looked at the Pilates class schedule at least 4 times over the past 10 days. Alas, I seem to be stuck in "contemplation" rather than "action" and haven't made it to a class yet.

I found some good information on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy on the Cleveland Clinic web site http://my.clevelandclinic.org/heart/disorders/hcm/default.aspx. There's a book we can also order on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy through the The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA). I've noted it and will investigate later.

Jessie and Waylon are coming into town tomorrow for a visit.
